Alternative Agriculture
The majority of Midwest producers typically raise corn in a corn-soybean rotation or with multiple years of corn followed by soybean. Other crops, however, can be highly productive and work well when incorporated into a corn-soybean system or as an alternative crop. Organic produce is also becoming more popular and different methods need to be employed from the current methods and technologies used.
