Corn has progressed quickly these past weeks in Iowa, with much of the crop near maturity. A discussion of the methodologies used in estimating yield and how this year's weather will impact the yield forecasts are included in ISU Extension Corn Production’s Pre-Harvest Update. Other topics include an overview of GDD's for Iowa and the Corn Belt, diagnostic images for identifying plant and ear concerns, and upcoming meeting dates.
