MANURE APPLICATOR CERTIFICATION:

Commercial Manure Applicators:  Did you miss the statewide training on January 7? Commercial manure applicators have two options to meet certification for the remainder of 2014. They can make an appointment at their County Extension office to watch the training video or they can contact the DNR field offices to schedule time for the certification exam.  These opportunities are available throughout the year, however, to avoid paying the late fee, annual certification must be complete by March 1st annually.  Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is offering 8 certification workshops in February for dry/solid manure applicators. Complete details for these workshops can be found by clicking here.

Confinement site applicators may attend any one of 67 two-hour workshops scheduled for January-February 2014 to meet manure applicator certification requirements. A complete list of dates and locations can be found on the IMMAG web page by clicking here. Want to add your local confinement site applicator workshop to your electronic calendar? Click on the previous link.  Find the county workshop you plan to attend and in the right column on the table click on the calendar icon. A pop-up box will open on your screen. Click "save and close" and the event will be added to your calendar. Confinement site applicators that prefer to attend the dry manure certification meetings can find a list at: http://www.agronext.iastate.edu/immag/certification/confdates.html#drymanure
